Skydivers
May 2020
I have been seeing this in prayer fort h e past month. Our country was shut down in response to COVID-19, but I have been excited about what God is doing, even when we can't see it with our natural eves yet. I pray this painting conveys what God is intending and draws you closer to Him. If I have misinterpreted anything, I pray God will correct it. Below is the impression of what I believe He was communicating. Please ask the Holy Spirit about it as all truth comes from Him.
The skydivers represent the pioneers and forerunners who are being released. I believe they are being released into the fields to begin preparing them for what God is bringing in. These are the jumpers that are saying "yes" to a call or a change that God is bringing them into. It could be a change in their career field, a change in job, or a new venture being birthed. For some, they have felt like they have been preparing their whole lives and are well equipped for it. For others, they may not feel fully equipped yet, but are trusting in faith that God has a plan and a purpose, and that He will equip them. This trust and faith is represented on the parachutes and on the train with Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
The forerunners or pioneers are paired with the Holy Spirit as they land in fields. They are yoked with Him and together they prepare the fields for what is coming. This is different than just repositioning. I see a pairing or yoking with the Holy Spirit in purpose, creation and innovation. Although not painted in this, God was showing me this as "yoked oxen" high stepping in the fields, creating divots.
I believe the train represents what God is bringing in. I saw it landing in the fields. I got the impression of His glory so I added that to the train. With regard to the water which flows from heaven and into the train, I believe God highlighted the following verses:
John 7:37-39: On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers ofliving water will flow from within them." By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
When I asked the Lord about the fire, the impression He gave me was the fire of His heart. His heart, His passion, His love. I don't have adequate words for this. With the youth riding the train, I am reminded of Ephesians 5:1-2: Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
I hope this painting blesses you and that God will show you much more through it than He has shown me. May He touch your heart with His. God bless the jumpers saying "yes."
